Spanninga and Scott Cooperate in New Bicycle Light

JOURE, the Netherlands – Scott Sports initiated the development of the Silence series two years ago starting from designs scratch. Together with Spanninga they developed a new head light aimed at a clean and integrated bike.

We contacted Spanninga as our best possible partner to design a new bicycle head light which could be integrated in our UC1.5 stems,” explains Thomas Beger, Bike Product Manager at Scott Sports. “Our main requirements were the aero dynamic design in combination with a high output of USB Bicycle Light.

“The result of our joint project is a nicely designed and well integrated head light featuring one ultra-bright outdoor sport led light with Spanninga’s Reverse Beam Technology reaching up to 40 Lux light output and equipped with Safe-Stop function. Obvioulsly it complies with STVZO German requirements.” The new light comes in five versions: the Silence, the Silence Evo, the E-Silence, the E-Sub Sport and the E-Silence Speed.
