Customers stunned by huge cardboard boxes
Scores
of customers have criticised the online shopping giant for using
oversized boxes and excessive amounts of paper to deliver their products – with
many taking to Twitter to share pictures of their deliveries.
A
Twitter user shared this picture of their mum with a new feather duster – which
arrived in an obscene amount of packaging.
One
user posted a snap of a screwdriver, which had been wrapped in bubble wrap and
paper before being delivered in a huge package.
And
another quipped: “I think I lost my mum in a sea of packaging that one feather
duster was sent in,” sharing an image of a mountain of brown paper overflowing
from an Amazon box.
Meanwhile,
other gigantic parcels from the company were found to contain a calendar, a
yoga mat and an iPhone case – all buried in masses of packaging boxes.
Hilariously,
some internet users reported that even miniscule items such as USB sticks and
tea bags were still encased in huge boxes.

Another
Amazon customer received a new calendar in a large cardboard
box, rather than the envelope you might expect.
Fortunately,
it seems this phone case was strong enough to withstand being rattled around in
such a large box.
Jen Lupton, 30, was stunned when her
brother ordered a small bottle of supplements – only for it to arrive in a
massively over-sized cardboard box, which she believes was around 20 times
bigger than the product itself.
The hospital audio
typist from Cheadle, Greater Manchester, initially thought the supplements were
missing as the large box was filled with so much paper.
